Priests honored on ordination anniversaries

The annual celebration of the anniversary of Ordination to the priesthood for the classes of 1952, 1962, 1972 and 1987 in the Diocese of Cleveland was observed on Tuesday morning, May 22, at St. Basil the Great Parish in Brecksville.

Several hundred priests, deacons and lay persons were in attendance as these men were recognized for the significant time dedicated to their priestly vocation during a special Mass with Most Reverend Richard Lennon, Bishop of Cleveland, and his fellow bishops.

Among those listed is the late Rev. Charles T. McCabe who served as an associate at St. Paul in 1962-1971 and Rev. Joseph Weigand, retired from St. James Church in Lakewood and in residence adt Immaculate Heart of Mary.  Fr. Weigand often celebrates Mass at St.
