The parish will celebrate both Fr. Zapp's aniversary and the 33rd anniversarsy of Spirit Church with a parish dinner today, starting at 1:30 p.m. at Little Flower Church Hall, 2040 Diamond St. NE, Canton.
Fr. Zapp received a Master of Divinity degree from Mount St. Mary in Cincinnati. Before his assignment as pastor of Holy Spirit, he was the pastor of the Newman Center at Kent State University. Holy Spirit is in the Youngstown Diocese.
