400 are homeless, 100 with no shelter

There are 400 homelss in Summit County, according go prelimnary figures of a count Tuesday. Some of those are in shelters, ut 100 are unsheltered.  That number is down from 146 last year, according to a story by reporter Dave Scott in today's Akron Beacon Journal.

Good weather kept the homeless in more remote places where counters did not find them, according to coorinator Fred Berry.  Eightu per cent of the homeless were men, he said.

It is difficult to compare this year's count from previous years.
