A photo of pyx used to carry the Ecuharist to the homebound is being given to Akron police to aid in tracking down three stolen from the rectory in a Christmas break-in. It is believed the thieves might try to pawn the pyx and could then be apprehended. Money also was taken but no other traceable items.

This is terrible but it seem pretty common in the Firestone Park area. My home was broken into at the end of November, there are no leads on who it was. I'm sorry this happened; Father and I are both victims.
I know only to well what it feels like to have your home broken into. While I do not live in FP, I do attend that parish. I certainly hope that the Parish insurance doesn't cancel them after they make a claim. My property loss was over $5,000 and the structural damage was over $1,500. It is a shame that this happened. In may case the youths responsible were apprehended. They were 14yrs old and already were career criminals. What a shame. I hope this is quickly solved. Let's pray for Fr. and others that this won't happen to anyone else. It is terrible to feel violated and there is nothing you can do to prevent it.
