Just curious as to why you are posting daily mass attendance. Did Fr. Thomas ask you to post for parish review?
There was some discussion on a previous post about Mass attendance with one suggestion that we cancel the 7:30 Mass and another that we change the Mass schedule. You could just scroll over the brief box if that item does not interest you.
Did I say that I wasn't interested in this information? I did not. I simply wanted to know why it was being posted. You answered the question. Why the snooty remark about the scroll over? Not necessary.
I think that you need to be more specific about what mass has attendees. For example: does 7am have the 31 people that includes Miraculous Medal novena or does the 8:30am mass have the 31 people. Since I work from 7to7 a 12 hour shift I am unable to attend daily mass but used to. The numbers are more like 15 people per mass. When you consider all that is involved and the shortage of priests it would make sense to eliminate a mass and have one mass daily. but who am I but a struggling parishiner who has no rights to say a thing.
Are the mass attendances posted from the 8:30 am mass in the morning or a total for all masses that day?
It does not include the 7 a.m. Mass.
Sorry we were not more specific The total listed for the Miraculous Medal novena 8:30 a.m. Mass were for that Mass only. There was no count for the 7 a.m. daily Mass.
How about letting us know how many are in attendence at the 7am prayer service. By the way the prayer service cannot have a communon service with it per the diocese. The Liturgy of the Hours must be said by a priest or deacon. It can be said by a lay person but cannot be proclaimed from the pulpit by a lay person per the diocese.
Will try to learn how many are attending. The attendance is probably down because there is oo Mass. I think you mean to say that priests and deacons are required to say the Liturgy. Those attending the 7 a.m.Mass just say the Liturgy. Nobody is in the pulpit. I don't know what is meant by "per the diocsse." The requirements are set by the Church for all Catholics. This is not just a rule of the Cleveland Dicoese.
