Speaking of changes in Mass, I learned that there will be new missalettes in the pews on Thanksgiving Day. The new missalettes which are for Advent will not have the readings or gospel for Thanksgiving Day Mass in them.
Thanksgiving Day is two days away from the First Sunday of Advent when the new Roman Missal is to be used. So whar about the Saturday vigil Mass? I suppose the new texts will be used Saturday evening. The Thanksgiving Mass is the last one in the current orange missallete. This weekend, Christ the King, marks the end of the liturgical year.
That's a good question. We will use the readings for the First Sunday of Advent like we would any other vigil mass so I would say the new translations will be used too. I am not sure how many people at St. Paul use the missalette, so this could all be a mute point.
Who will be conducting the morning prayer service? Will there be communion available? If a priest is not available, there can be no communion service simply prayer. That is straight from the diocese.
This item states that Mass will be replaced by a prayer service. If you would like to know who will lead it, attend the Mass. You do not need to go straight to the diocese.
Eucharistic Ministers will more then likely lead the service, but they cannot have communion. This is a diocesean directive.
spelling more than not more then
You obviously have never been to the 7 am. Mass. They say the Liturgy of the Hours (morning office)
It is nice to know that you are perfect in your spelling. Just remember that the diocese also has access to the blog ever since they have been keeping an eye out on the parish. I have attended in the past when EM's were conducting a prayer and communion service and they got in trouble for this. If you say they are doing the Liturgy of the Hours that must be okay.
I think it in poor taste that someone needs to correct another person's use of spelling on this blog. That is not what this is intended to be used for. After all, everyone is not perfect and mistakes happen.
Wow, I don't know how many times I have seen names misspelled on pictures of people on this blog, including my own. Wonder if this comment will be posted? My last 3 were not.
I have also seen mispelled names as well as inaccurate information. Like St. Paul Alum many of my comments are not posted either. Man you make one mistake and like Jesus, you are condemned for it. I can only hope to learn from my misspellings. However, misspelling words doesn't make a bad person.
