After the All Saints Day Mass at 8:30 this morning a small group went to Holy Cross Cemetery for a brief ceremony at the grave of the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Clement H. Boeke, third pastor of St, Paul who died 50 years ago on All Saints Day in 1961.Mary and Bernie Factor, both 92, placed roses on his grave and recalled memories of Msgr. Boeke who was a frequent visitor in their home.
Msgr. Boeke served as pastor of St Paul from September 8, 1924 until his death on All Saints Day on November l, 1961 just 13 days before what would have been his 75th birthday on November 14. He served for 37 years, the longest of any pastor.

Are we finally finished with the Boeke stuff now? I mean really enough is enough.
The monsignor was obviously a very good man, since 50 years later, we at St. Paul still honor his dedication to our parish and the children of St. Paul school.
I wonder if 50 years after your passing anyone will even remember you?
