Prayer card for Priesthood Sunday

This is the prayer card for Priesthood Sunday.

Prayer text:

Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father and model of our self-giving, you invite us to labor in your earthly vineyard and to share in bringing forth your vision. In constant need of your companionship and tangible graces, we ask you to summon, from our own diocesan family, an increase in priests to serve as stewards of your mysteries - men capable of deep sincerity, humility, generosity, and charity.

For those serving already as your priests, we ask that you increase their joy and discipleship. For those who are considering priesthood as seminarians, we ask that you dispel all fear, and instead may trust and courage abide in their minds and hearts.

We ask this through you, Jesus Christ, who is our great high priest and Lord forever and ever. Amen.
