the United States to attend St. Charles Seminary and St. Mary Seminary in Baltimore. He retired from the Summit County Board of Developmental Disabilities.Mickey was a lifelong musician. He and his wife Anna sang at weddings for many years. They spent thirty years leading a contemporary music group at St. Matthew Catholic Church and are current members of Visitation of Mary where they belong to the funeral and church choirs. Mickey was also a member of the Fall Festival Chorus, the Knights of Columbus, the Knights of Rizal and other Filipino associations.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Dolores Parado and brother, Ireneo Parado. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 40 years, Anna; daughters, Peggy (Kyle) Davis and Joy (Dennis) Parado; siblings, Josie (Pedring) Casia, Esper (Ben) Galia, Agnes Laurel, Sylvester (Purita) Parado, Augustine (Pinang) Parado, Catherine (Ben) Ballesil, and Fe (Dante) Estepa; grandson, Irenaeo Medardo Parado; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call TODAY from 5 to 8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral Mass will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St. Please meet at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.
