The Rev. Fr. Paul Rosing, pastor of Holy Family Parish in Stow, has a guest column on page 6 in the October 28 issue of the Catholic Universe Bulletin.
Fr. Rosing discusses the importance of the diocesan fund-raising campaign "Rooted in Faith--Forward in Hope."
Fr. Rosing, whose first assignment as a priest was at St. Paul, notes that almost $82 million in Diocesan tuition assistance is given annually to 3,500 students.
"The gift of a Catholic Education continues to be the present reality for 47,600 enrolled in Catholic Schools throughout our Diocese," Fr. Rosing wrote. "We have the fifth largest diocesan school system in the country, the largest system -- public or private -- in Ohio." He also noted that the high school graduation rate is 99 per cent and all but 3 per cent go on to higher education.
Fr. Rosing was ordained June 9, 1973. His first assignment was at St. Paul from July 5, 1973 to June 13, 1978. He was named pastor of Holy Family on December 20, 2010
