St. Sebastian Oktoberfest is October 29
St. Sebastian Parish will be hosting its second annual Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 29, at 4 p.m. This year's event will celebrate the "Sound of Music" with dinner, music and entertainment at Zwisler Hall, 500 Mull Ave. Doors will open at 4 p.m. with dinner being served from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tickets are now on sale through October 16 for $15 for adults and $3 for children ages 14 and under. Tickets purchased after October 16 are $20. The menu will consist of traditional German fare plus a Kid's meal. A cash bar will be available for beer and wine. Carry-out meals also will be available. Order forms for tickets are available at www.stsebastian.org. All proceeds will benefit the St. Sebastian Parish Music Ministry.
Special Masses scheduled at Our Lady of Consolation
There will be a special Hope and Healing Mass for cancer victims on Tuesday, October 11, at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Consolation Shrine, 315 Clay Street, Carey, Ohio. The Mass is for, survivors and their loved ones. There also will be a Mass on Sunday, October 16, at noon for the feast of St. Gerard Majella for those expecting a child or trying to have one. St. Gerard is the patron saint of motherhood.
