Services for Cleda Fatica are Saturday

Cleda Fatica, 89, passed away on April 7, 2011 at Akron Manor Care.

Born in Jackson, Ky. on August 16, 1921 to the late Hargis and Edna Holbrook, Cleda had been an Akron resident for most of her life. She was a graduate of Garfield High
School and was a retiree of Polsky's Department Store. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, as well as the Polsky's Retirement Club and the Firestone Park AARP #1715.

In addition to her parents, Cleda was preceded in death by her husband, Pat in 2009, sister, Abrellia ``Billie', and brother, Clarence. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Barbara of Akron; sister, Geneva Perv; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rose Mary (Mario) Martini, Armand (Trudy) Fatica, Paul Price, Basillio Cipiti, and Velma Fatica; grandchildren, Christine (Craig) Ball William M. Fatica, and Lisa (fiance Brian Lay) Fatica; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Stephen, Daniel, Emily, Jordan, Maggi, Claire, and Nicholas; great-great-granddaughter, Elli; as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all of the nurses and staff at Akron Manor Care for the care that Cleda received during her time there.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday at 12 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, Fr. Ralph Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church, 433 Mission Drive, Akron, OH 44301.
