Catholic parish damaged in North Korean attack

North Korea’s surprise November 23 artillery attack on Yeonpyeong-do Island damaged the island’s sole Catholic parish. The chancellor of the Diocese of Incheon reported that the two shells that hit parish property damaged windows, a van, and the old rectory.

450 of the island’s 1,700 residents are Catholic.
