Both sides appeal Fr. Sam sentence

Both the defense and prosecution in the case of Interval Brotherhood home founder Father Sam Ciccolini say they didn't like the sentence he received for embezzling at least $3.5 million from the Interval Brotherhood Foundation, so both this week have filed appeals for different reasons to the sentencing decision by U.S. District Court Judge James Gwin.

The prosecution is not satisfied with the one day jail sentence Ciccolini received. Assistant U.S. Attorney for Northern Ohio Bob Bulford says Father Sam deserved the 18 to 24 month sentence the feds recommended., and that was agreed to in a plea agreement worked out with federal prosecutors.
