Parish School of Religion parents and students are asked to jon their teachers Sunday, September 19, at the 9 a.m. Mass for Catechetical Sunday followed by a meet and greet your teacher in the Parish Activity Center.
Catechetical Sunday is a wonderful opportunity to reflect upon the role that each person plays, by virtue of Baptism, in handing on the faith and being a witness to the Gospel. Catechetical Sunday is an opportunity for all to rededicate themselves to this mission as a community of faith. Those who have been designated by the community to serve as catechists will be called forth to be commissioned for their ministry.
This year, Catechetical Sunday, will focus on the theme,
“Matrimony: Sacrament of Enduring Love.”
The first PSR class this year is Sunday, September 26, when the revised Mass schedule takes effect. Families will be asked to attend the 9:30 a.m. Mass. Students will proceed to theirs classroom following Mass and then be dismissed adt 11 a.m. If you have any questions, please call the Religious Edcation Office at 330-724-9311
