St. Paul elementary students met in Jenkins Gym on Tuesday afternoon for the fun-filled play “If You Take a Mouse to School.” The play, sponsored by Bridgestone, was presented by the Illusion
Factory children’s theater company of Akron.Ernest Nolan’s adaptation of the children’s best seller by Laura Joffe Numeroff is about
a young boy who takes a mouse to school, and how the day’s events tumult into hilarity and hijinks.
Besides doing a little math and spelling a word or two, Mouse creates chaos. It's never been more fun to go to school.
There also was a bit of interaction Tuesday when the teacher asked students to join in the Pledge of Allegiance. The school bus used as a prop was especially successful.
Younger students especially were enamored as the Mouse charged happily through his day.
Numeroff has written many children’s books including the New York Times #1 bestselling If You Take a Mouse to the Movies and If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.
