Grandparents Day was usual highpoint of week

Grandparents fill the Parish Activity Center for their special day

The crowd was wall-to-wall as usual for Grandparents Day on Thursday which is usually a highpoint of Catholic Schools Week.

Parents first gathered in the Parish Activity Center for a welcome by principal Robert Brodbeck and a
musical performance.  Music Director Tim Longfellow led student singers in several selections and then the cast of Honk! provided a musical teaser of the Drama Club’s upcoming production to be staged  March 19, 20 and 21.

The group then moved to the church for a prayer service with students seated with their grandparents. The pastor, the Rev. Fr. Ralph Thomas, praised grandparents for their nurturing of grandchildren and support of the school. .

The visitors then split into two groups by alphabet to alternately either visit classrooms or enjoy refreshments in the Activity Center.
