He was as Akron native and graduate of Hoban High School class of 1964, Timothy traveled the world in his 43 years at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. Everywhere Timothy went he spread
joy and was always remembered for his vivacious, humorous, glowing personality; whether at the bank, grocery store, or the Goodyear plants around the world. Timothy retired from Goodyear in 2008, though he continued international consulting; most recently in Germany and China this past summer. He moved to Clermont Florida in May, to be closer to his daughter, Leigh Ann.Preceded in death by his father, Jack; brothers, Johnny, twin brother Jim, Danny, and Jeff and sister, Jeannie; he is survived by mother, Katie Burrell; daughters, Leigh Ann of Clermont Fla. and Melanie (Rick) Vaughn of Bath; sons, Travis of Pittsburgh, Pa., Shaun and Jason of Akron; grandchildren, Samantha, Brooke and Joshua (Vaughn) of Bath; sister, Mary (Tom) Dolis of Cuyahoga Falls and brothers, David (Helen) of Cary, N.C., Pat (Annette) of Cameron Park, Calif, and Mike of Akron.
Memorial Mass will be 4 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2010 at St. Paul Catholic Church, where friends may call from 2:30 p.m. until service time. The family suggests donations be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778.
