Mass for Stidger Ken Roberts is Tuesday



Ken Roberts, 95, went home to heaven January 5, 2010.He was born October 15, 1914 in Littleton, W. Va. to William and Margaret Roberts.

Ken owned and operated a Shell Gas station on Arlington and Killian in Akron, Ohio. He retired after over 40 years of service. Ken was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Akron and served as an usher for many years. He was a member of Firestone Park Prime Timers and the Chapel Hill Walkers. Ken loved to spend time golfing, attending to his vegetable garden and playing cards.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Stella C. Roberts. Ken leaves his daughter, Connie (James) Dattilo; grandchildren, Christian and James Jr. (Annette) Dattilo; great-grandchildren, Dominic and Tatum, all of the Houston, Texas area; brother, Eddie of Littleton, W. Va.

A memorial mass will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 19th, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St., Akron. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of mass. Following the mass there will be a luncheon in Boeke Hall. Inurnment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
