The Third Sunday of Advent was a “Rejoice Sunday” at the 11 a.m. Mass at St. Paul.
The Third Sunday is known as Gaudete Sunday. The term Gaudete refers to the first word of the Entrance Antiphon, "Rejoice". We also light the rose candle on our Advent wreath to symbolize joy.
The three Advent candles on the yule tree were lit by daughters of Tod and Lori Wammes (from left) Natalie,
Jacqueline and Meredith. Their father is president of St,. Paul PTO.
The pastor, the Rev. Fr. Ralph Thomas invited children up on the altar to pray the Our Father.
After Mass, members of the Ladies Guild were busy selling pastries at their bake sale and other parishioners were gathering to talk.
