It's time to light the rose candle

Sunday is already the third Sunday of Advent. Time to light the rose candle on your Advent wreath. And time to enter your Christmas devotions in earnest.  There is a link at left for  Christmas Devotions that are planned.  Here are  ways you can take some time off from shopping to prepare for the real reason for the season.
There’s more time to make a special visit
Eucharistic adoration has been extended during Advent. from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays, December 15, 22 and  29.  Take a break from the hustle and  bustle to spend some time in private prayer before the Blessed Sacrament in the Eucharistic Chapel behind the main altar.

Enjoy a St. Paul School Christmas play
Enjoy the School Christmas play performed by the first, second and third grade students on  Thursday, December 17, at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Activity Center. It will really get you in the spirit!
Let your light shine on December 23
You can join an Advent Candle Prayer Service Wednesday, December 23, at 6:30 p.m. Keep Christ in the celebration of Christmas and pray with your parish family. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available following the service from 7:00-8:00 p.m.
Many opportunities for Reconciliation (Confession)
The Summit South 6 Cluster will have communal prayer services. The services.are Sunday at Queen of Heaven Church, 1800 Steese Road, Green; Monday at St. Francis de Sales Church, 4019 Manchester Road, Coventry Township; and Wednesday at St. Paul. . All three services are at 7 p.,m.
Because you still need to make an individual confession, the hours at St. Paul are on Saturdays from 3 to 4 p.m. Parishioners also are welcome to attend Reconciliation for students at 10 a.m. Tuesday.  And if none of these fit your schedule, just click on the Reconciliation link at left for times at parishes throughout the Akron area.
