Fr. Bline named pastor, Deacon Frank retired

The Rev. Fr. G. David Bline, who has been administrator of St. Francis deSales parish since August 2, 2008, has been appointed pastor, effective November 23.

Fr. Bline, who is 47, was ordained May 30, 1998. He served as parochial vicar at St. Clare in Lyndhurst from June 16, 1998 to June 10, 2003. He was parochial vicar at St. Barnabas in Northfield from June 10, 2003 until June 5, 2007 when he was assigned to St. Francis as parochial vicar.

Also announced in assignment changes in the December 11 issue of the Catholic Universe Bulletin was the retirement of St. Paul Deacon Francis R. Lonteen, granted effective January 1.  
Mr. Lonteen, who is 72, has served St. Paul for 23 years under the pastorates of Fr. John Jenkins and Fr. Ralph Thomas.  He was ordained December 1, 1986.
