All Souls Day is Monday

There will be a special Mass of Remembrance for all the faithful departed at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 2.

The theological basis for the feast is the doctrine that the souls which, on departing from the body, are not perfectly cleansed from venial sins, or have not fully atoned for past transgressions, are debarred from the Beatific Vision, and that the faithful on earth can help them by prayers, almsdeeds and especially by the sacrifice of the Mass. The Victory Book will be in the Narthex throughout November. Please feel free to enter the names of your departed loved ones as an act of remembrance and love.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered at Holy Cross Cemetery on Catholic Cemetery Sunday, November 1, at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Thomas w. McCann, pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Cuyahoga Falls.
