The FEST, an outdoor Catholic Family FESTival. is expected to welcome 30,000 people of all ages on Sunday, August 9, 2009, from noon to 10 p.m. at the Center for Pastoral Leadership in Wicliffe.
The grounds of the Center of Pastoral Leadership (the location of Borromeo & St. Mary’s Seminary), 28700 Euclid Avenue, Wickliffe, will be transformed into the largest
annual religious event in our region.
Throughout the grounds, there will be activities for all ages; inflatables for the kids, sports clinics presented by the Indians, Cavaliers, Lake Erie Monsters, and Notre Dame College, a vocations booth, sacrament of reconciliation, and a vendor row that will feature displaysfrom sponsors including: Cleveland Clinic, Pierre’s Ice Cream, Dole Fruit Market and Marc’s Family Fun Zone.
The main stage will feature national Christian Music Artists: Brandon Heath, Matthew West, Nicole C. Mullen, and headliner, Jars of Clay. Members of 95.5 The FISH will be on hand to introduce the national bands. The FEST concludes with Mass at 8 p.m. featuring a 250-voice teen/adult choir and a 300 member children’s choir.
The FEST is FREE and open to everyone throughout the region.
This is possible through sponsors and through the one fundraiser, the Raffle. This year, there are 12 prizes ranging from a Jeep Liberty to the owner’s loge at a Cleveland Indians game. Raffle tickets are $100 each.
The theme for FEST 2009 is: Love Life. In these challenging times, the activities and message of the day will call us as a community to love and offer care to each other.
