As a member of Little Lamb Philharmusical, she has performed in many churches and charitable events in Northeast Ohio . Ann is a seventh grader at Hudson Middle School.
Her father has been deeply involved in preparations fo the concert. Heidi Guttermuth of St. Paul will be the organist. The first rehearsal was held in St. Paul music room on January 27.
Michael Seredick, music director of St. Gregory the Great Parish in South Euclid and a veteran of the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus, will direct the joint choirs.
If not for a chance encounter in a university elective class, Michael Seredick would be in the corporate world instead of the music world. Entering college at Kent State University as a business major, Seredick happened to take a class in music theory as an elective, where he met John Ferguson, the graduate student who was teaching the course.
Seredick says he was inspired and transformed after attending Ferguson’s organ recital. He changed his major and went on to attain his undergraduate and masters degrees from Kent State University. His years of studies in music also included participation in the Kent State Choir, the St. Dominic’s Church Choir, and Singers Club of Cleveland.
As a music educator, Seredick has held the position of choral director in various Cleveland area schools as well as assistant director for many years to the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus. He was also the assistant director to the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus under the leadership of Robert Page.
